Abu Dhabi Municipality has announced a public tender for the development, investment and management of the Sharia Park in Abu Dhabi. The project comes within the framework of the municipal system's keenness to upgrade the service facilities and expand the map of parks and recreational parks that meet the international standards. .
The Municipality, which is interested in participating in this auction, has invited the competent national companies and institutions to review it to obtain the required documents. The deadline for submission of bids is Tuesday, September 29, 2015.
The Municipality said that the development of the Sharia Park is a true embodiment of the Municipality's strategy to provide the best service, entertainment and housing facilities in Abu Dhabi in line with the vision of the Abu Dhabi Government and its comprehensive development and development plan. Especially in the implementation of community and recreational projects and the establishment of service sheds that meet the aspirations of the community, and provide modern services in an environment that is ideal for the happiness and well-being of the population, and contribute to provide the infrastructure in Abu Dhabi, Sustainable development.
The municipality pointed out that through the municipal system, it has strengthened the system of infrastructure projects and recreational facilities and the system of parks and recreational parks in cooperation with the private sector, which will be put in service immediately after completion, to find multiple entertainment options in accordance with international standards and standards in line with the ambition of Abu Dhabi and the aspirations of its people to prosper and integrated life and modern services .
The development of the Shari'a Park is strategically located on Sheikh Maktoum Road on the E11 between Abu Dhabi and Dubai at the intersection of Al Ejban Street E16 and Al Rahba City in Abu Dhabi. The project includes fruit orchards within a total area of ​​380,000 square meters .
The Municipality pointed out that the project aims to revitalize and revive the park of Sharia with its rich heritage to become a main attraction and a unique leisure destination for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular and in the country in general.
The theme of the Park is to create a dynamic dome, new hospitality from a boutique hotel and business hotels, a wedding hall, retail areas, markets, restaurants and cafes, and combine it with the Royal Garden, the Desert Park, the area garden, Activities and events through a total floor area of ​​up to 50 thousand square meters in a manner that achieves the objectives of the project aimed at creating a high-quality entertainment environment.
The project will be implemented in cooperation with the private sector. Developers will finance and develop the project and will receive the rights to benefit from the municipality's land through the Masataha agreement, which provides the developer with the right to use it for 32 years. Municipal.
The municipality noted that the park will be able to serve residents of Al Rahba and surrounding areas such as Al Bahia, Al Samaha, Shahama, Kizad and Zayed Military City with a population density of more than 100,000.
As for the activities, programs and activities expected to be hosted by the Sharia Park after its completion, the Municipality confirmed that the park is considered to attract and attract many activities such as community festivals, equestrian activities, desert sports and similar activities. Women's Health Center / Spa, Swimming Pool, Women's Health Club / Gym, and Play Grounds.
With regard to the dome of the forest within the framework of the project, the municipality indicated that it will be eligible to host a lot of events such as adventure experience, and the display of the night lights, the distinctive green areas and the events of the mass and periodic services and weddings.
The project also includes the establishment of the Desert Garden, which is designed to host community events and family entertainment programs, and includes many local desert plants to give visitors a unique experience of surprise, fun and contrast between the breathtaking scenes.
In terms of hotel services for the project, the municipality explained that the development plan aims to establish a heritage hotel in the category of "boutique", and contains a gym and spa, meeting rooms and wedding halls, in addition to the construction of a number of chalets and hotel villas.
The project also includes covered and air-conditioned markets.
