Attractive because of its old trees and historic tombs
Today it is a park in the middle of downtown Hanover. The graves of Charlotte Kestner, archetype of Goethe's "Lotte" from the "Werther", the astronomer Caroline Herschel and the painter Johann Heinrich Ramberg can be found here. The garden cemetery is located on Marienstraße between Warmbüchenstraße and Arnswaldtstraße.
