Give a good insight into the typical geological structure of the coal
From 1750 to 1907, the Friederika colliery built superficial coal and iron ore from tunnels up to 300 meters deep. From 1925 the mine operated here a brickyard with quarry, which was shut down in 1959 and then demolished. What has been preserved is a quarry with clearly visible geological structures and the rocks of the Ruhr area, which show the geological history of the region.
