The Bochum West Park is a slightly different park. In addition to well-developed cycle paths and modern playgrounds, evidence of industrial culture is integrated into the landscape. Three spectacular and award-winning bridges provide a tour of the park and a beautiful view of the city. The Westpark is ring-shaped around the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum created. The old structures of the former Krupp site on the Alleestraße were taken over and reinterpreted. Stone embankments and soft meadows are in contrast to old blast furnaces. But those who get involved recognize that in this park, the industry is in harmony with nature.
