In the middle of the Gelsenkirchener south lies the Von Wedelstaedt park. Named after its initiator, the bailiff of Wedelstaedt, he is a historical testimony of Gelsenkirchen history. The small forest park is a green oasis in the middle of the city and invites through its curved path network for small and larger walks. You can also spend the summer on the meadows and lawns and watch the waterfowl in the pond as in all other seasons. The smaller visitors can let off steam in the children's playground.
