A successful venue for cabaret and concerts
The music pavilion on Schlossteichinsel was designed in 1954 by architect Rudolf Weiser and used in subsequent years as a successful venue for cabaret and concerts. Unfortunately, there are hardly any events going on there today.
It is embedded in the castle pond in a great ensemble of tourist destinations and, for the Chemnitz, an important and popular place of rest in the city center. This formerly lively concert garden, as it does not exist a second time in the city, is today heavily marked by vandalism and decay.
