The city park was formerly called Leninpark
First surfaces were converted since 1876 by the urban beautification club into parking areas. At that time, the development of the Magdeburger Straße was born. Later, parts of previous cemetery areas were repeatedly added to the park and this enlarged.
The city park was formerly called Leninpark. Its terrain was once partially used by a water tower.
