The Botanical Garden in Halle houses about 12,000 different species
The garden belongs to the University of Halle-Wittenberg and is part of the Institute of Biology. It serves to a large extent tasks of teaching, research, school and public relations. It has existed for over 300 years and was the first of its kind in Prussia.
