The special attractions in the playground are the Thuringian Forest Goats, Sufi Pigs, Lakenfiler Chicken and Phoenix Chicken. They are on the red list of endangered local breeds. The Wildlife Park has set itself the task of introducing endangered breeds of pets to the public.
The Mainz Wildlife Park is surrounded by a circular road that can be completed without restriction. The small zoo houses rabbits and guinea pigs. Game park animals can only be fed with special nutrition, which can be purchased from vending machines for small funds.
The wildlife park also has a bird from the prey. There, local birds infected with prey can be given more care.
The total stock of the Mainz Zoo (Wildlife Park and City Park Facilities) is about 24 species with about 230 animals.
