The Bach Ahne amusement park was opened on 21 June 1986 [with an area of more than 9 hectares (90,000 square meters) [a large and popular recreation area].

Ahnepark is located between the Dutch (new) road to the east, which was developed in Wilmar as a common section of federal freeways 7 and 83, Ahne flows along the western edge of the park, a tributary northwest of Fulda, and the (old) Dutch street. On the northern edge of the park, and then directly above its topography, it runs as State Route 3234, and from Frommershäuser directly beyond, the little tooth flows to the grandfather. Describe
Ahnepark was built on pastures along Grandpa. It consists mostly of lawns, trees and shrubs, as well as four nurseries fed by the grandfather, on which ducks mainly grow. When many old trees were created and preserved from the former park area fruit trees were preserved. From the particularly high observation hill, you can enjoy the view of the garden area. Many paintings provide information about plants and animals in the garden.
For leisure activities in the garden, there is a basketball court, a tennis court, volleyball, table tennis and a children's playground. In the warmer months, you can attend many events (such as concerts at the concert venue) and on some Sundays and public holidays, you can take the Ahneparkbahn mini steam train run by the Vellmar Steam Train Club. In addition, in many places in the park, there are sculptures designed with art, stretching every three years with one or two numbers. In the southern part of the park, in a pond with Fontaine, there is a cafe restaurant with a lakeside terrace. With favorable winter conditions, you can ski on the pond.
The Ahneparkfest and the Zeltfestival Sommer are held once a year in the garden with a variety of entertainment and events. The latter, like Heimatfest Vellmar, is also located in the exhibition grounds to the east of the park. There is also a summer festival in Ahnepark, which is under the theme of playing chess.
