It is near the city and has become a popular destination
The tobacco pond previously belonged to the tobacco factory. There the tobacco was cut from Palatinate and Virginia, mixed with rose water and then sold as sauces. After snuff production ceased in the early 1860s, mill operations stopped.
The construction of the former tobacco mill in 1831 dates back to the first half of the 19th century and was converted into a restaurant after the First World War. The outdoor area of the restaurant is also a famous beer garden for pedestrians and terabees today.
