The Botanical Garden of Osnabrueck University has a special location. The diversity of plant communities around the world will be shown in the first quarry. Remarkably, Amazon Rainforest House stands out from the edge of the quarry. In 2011, a second quarry was incorporated into the park, where local plants reclaimed this protected natural area near the city.
Has been an indispensable resource for research and teaching since 1984. Another concern is the preservation of local biodiversity, which is reflected in many of the activities of the gene bank. Environmental education is taught by the Green School, offering tours and mentoring programs for your own participation. Thanks to the friendly support of Friends of the Botanical Garden, more activities such as exhibitions, concerts and readings can be done.
