One of the smallest reserves
The Prallhang des Neckars nature reserve near Lauffen, an area of 2.96 hectares, is one of the smallest reserves in the administrative district of Stuttgart. Mostly in the Heilbronn area, only a small portion (0.65 hectares) is located in the Heilbronn area.
The rocky edge and the gravel of the terrace provide interesting insights into the geological past and the history of the development of river valleys.
The reserve was allocated in 1984. The preventive purpose is to maintain the geological outcrop, including dry stone walls and floral and animal owners.
