Wupper and Wupperhänge Nature Reserve, south of Müngsten, have been banned since 15/11/2001. With an area of 144.42 hectares and agrees to demarcate the border with the Remchaid area of FFH reported area "Weber from Leverkusen to Solingen" (DE-4808-301).
The nature reserve is characterized by natural riverbeds in wuber, its natural course, and its adjacent, well preserved and structurally rich mountain forests with z.T. Hard rock faces. In general, the region represents a large proportion of relatively modest intervention by humans in the Wupper region.
Suite in the forest
In the east-west direction, the natural reserve passes through the Müngstener bridge, a 107-meter-high railway bridge. This element connects the cultural and historical landmarks between the urban areas of Solingen and Remscheid.
The protection label is specifically used to preserve and develop protected habitats and protected animal and plant species under habitat guidance. It works to protect and preserve the vast semi-natural managed forest forests, especially the typical Hainsimsen beech forests.
Wupper
Moreover, the semi-natural structures of the Weber and the lateral streams that open up to it must be maintained with the dynamics of flowing water, water quality, vegetation and typical animals. Wupper is distinguished among other things by obvious influence, steep and rocky banks, gravel and gravel banks, beach drops, islands, and Kolke. This river system should be protected as habitat for endangered species of fish and birds, particularly the coarse, riverous and fishy Lambras, as well as the continuity of waterways to protect the function of the biotope network.
