A botanical garden that houses plants from around the world brought back by explorers and botanists from Brest
Its history begins in 1694 when is founded in the maritime hospital of Brest a garden intended for the cultivation of the medicinal plants. It quickly becomes a royal garden of plants and brings together the plants brought back during exploratory trips and which will later enrich the collections of the National Museum of Natural History of Paris and the botanical gardens of other cities of France.
