A public garden of Besançon
The many species of trees, flower beds and rose beds make for a pleasant walk, which also offers a beautiful panorama of the citadel and roofs of the old town. A playground is also available.
Two sculptures adorn the Glacis Promenade.
The Monument to French Overseas is a work of which dates from 1975 and that we owe to George Oudot. The latter is the author of many bisontine sculptures, including the Memorial of Resistance and Deportation to the Citadel, which echoes the Museum of the same name.
The second sculpture of the Promenade des Glacis is a tribute to foreign fighters.
