It offers a haven of greenery with lawns open to the public
It is partially planted with more than 10,000 perennial plants, including some remarkable species. During each new twinning, the city plants a tree, and on the occasion of the twinning with the English city of Gedling in 1996, an acorn from the Sherwood forest was planted there.
The rose garden has 3,550 roses of 128 different species.
