Housed in the late nineteenth century, the square is then decorated with French lanes. It runs along the village hall (which houses, today, the theater, the movie studio and the media library Saint-John Perse) where we give shows and balls. During the First World War, the village hall will serve as a military hospital.
In 1924, the demolition of the tramway halls allowed the extension of the square.
