There is also the Sassari project, which aims to transform the former colony of the country into a cultural space available to the city, among 15 contestants in the call for culture - to renew the spaces to be shared, and was selected from 429 projects participating in the national appeal, promoted by the Foundation Unipolis, to support cultural projects Innovative with high social impact, which renew and give new life to previously abandoned spaces, buildings and industrial sites.
Following this first selection, the “Ex-Col” project, along with the 13 finalists, was accepted into the support and accompaniment course, which aims to improve and develop proposals, but also to provide an opportunity for training and growth for young participants. Ex-Col proposes the conversion of the former colony of Sassari and kindergartens in the nineteenth century, which are included in a community center. The ceiling will feature a practically deprived cinema, and the interiors will be used to offer cultural and entertainment workshops, exhibitions, presentations and discussions, as well as a food service based on local produce. In this way, the unused structure of the former kindergartens, a green-flooded building with 12 large windows, will be transformed into a hybrid and transparent space, designed to provide residents with new opportunities and ways to enjoy culture, theater, photography and social innovation. The garden's outdoor spaces will be used as a place for outdoor culture and social networking.
The teams will follow the workshops, get individual assistance and moments of critical review of the projects, which will be reviewed and then resubmitted to Unipolis by 3 August. Of these, in September, one
