Arco Arboretum is part of the ancient garden created by Archduke Albert of Habsburg around his villa in the late 19th century. Thanks to the mild climate Arco has for the presence of Lake Garda, it can host rich evergreen plants from plants from warm areas. It is characterized by numerous conifers in North America, plants from Southeast Asia and Mediterranean plants.
Today the nursery has just under 200 different species of trees and shrubs arranged on an area of about one hectare. The nursery mainly focuses on environmental education and phenolic monitoring activities (ie stages of plant development).
