Botanical garden (green), Stare Miasto
The park covers 21,000 square meters (5.2 acres) and is 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) long. It consists of a series of thirty smaller gardens designed in various shapes and decorated with many monuments and fountains. There are more than twenty statues of noble historical figures in the park - the ruins of Nicholas Copernicus, Jean Matijko, Queen Gadvija and King Vladislav II Jagilo, to name a few. There are also many paintings in the garden to celebrate, among others, Jean Delogos and Stanislav Wyspianski. [1]
The park is a picturesque walkway popular with the Cracovians. In the summer, filled with ponds and refreshing stalls, it's a wonderful and shaded retreat from the bustling streets nearby.
