Murckowskie Forests - a vast forest complex located in Katowice, Tychów, Mysłowice (together with the Zapole enclave, approx. 90 km²).
For many centuries, the Murckowski Forests belonged to the Pszczyna estates, creating the so-called Upper Pszczyna Forests, unlike the Lower Pszczyna Forests (today's Pszczyński Forests and the Kobiór Forests). They owe their current name to an industrial settlement in the center of the city, and in the nineteenth century also to a holiday enclave - today's Murcki district of Katowice.
