Agrate Conturbia peat was born and develops in the middle of an area surrounded by plain wood of alders, oak, birch, chestnut and willow. In the last century, swamp forests occupied vast areas, before reclaiming the canals and reclaiming their canals to a few traces.
The protected natural environment of Torbiera not only facilitates the survival and reproduction of resident animals, but also the protection of transient migratory species.
The wildlife park "La Torbiera" is a strip of land happily saved by human action. Consists of an open part for visitors, a protected area and a shelter for animals and plants. The protected area covers an area of about 40 hectares, where wood opens in areas frequented by roe deer, foxes, beech march, reptiles (first of all common snake), swampy falcons and other bird species. Wetlands are also inhabited by amphibians (tritons), jerks, ducks and reptiles (eel).
