Also known as Parco dei Lagoni, it is located on the western side of Lake Maggiore in a mountainous area of Piedmont, between the municipalities of Arona, Dormelletto, Comignago and Oleggio Castello. Since 1980, the park has been a protected natural area, and in 2011 it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, among 111 ancient sites for lint dwellings around the Alps.
The park includes a heterogeneous series of ecosystems: wetlands, rich in ponds, peat bogs and swamps, represent the true heart of the garden;
