Belloluogo Park, the first urban park with flower beds and vast green areas where you can exercise and take children to play, is not far from the center of Lecce.
Belloluogo Park Hotel is located in Lecce, near the city cemetery and takes its name from the medieval Belloluogo Tower, the historic residence of Queen Maria Dinghein. In front of the 14th century tower, the old moat is still visible.
It is the first urban park available to citizens and tourists, opened in 2012 after careful renovation of the area with its distinctive dry stone walls that surround the main streets.
The wide roads bordered by some lampposts cross the Green Zone, where olive trees, figs and other native species are planted.
