The water field is located at an altitude of 907 m above sea level. at the outlet of the Filipki Valley, on the eastern shore of the Filipczy Potok. It is located about 13 km from Zakopane, slightly east of the intersection of Oswald Balzer Road with the road to the Małe Ciche village. In the clearing stands a forester's lodge, erected in 1892 during the construction of a road, in a place where a steam sawmill had already existed (from 1866), as well as a brickyard used to build a forester's lodge. The first forester here was Władysław Bieńkowski, an expert on Tatra forests, who previously lived in nearby Brzanówka, and died there in 1926. South of the forester's lodge (800 m along the road) there is a car park and a bus stop as well as a TPN toll station the blue trail begins, which is (especially on Sundays) a popular route to the Marian Shrine in Wiktorówki and to Rusinowa Polana.
