Historical notes
The name Scorace, derives its name from the ancient feudalism of Arcodaci which shaped the wood (Bosco di Arcodaci) the main nucleus and at the same time gave its name to the dispute. According to the 18th-century Carvini historian, since the 13th century the dispute was a tributary of five archers and one armed knight.
The first baron was probably Lancellotto di Talac, followed by Gandallucchio-Talac, Fardella, (De) Caro and Riccio, who transferred him in the second half of the 18th century to Monroys, who held him until 1908, when they sold him to other owners It is even acquired by state regional property in the early 1990s.
