Włodzimierz Zankiewicz (1899 - 1970) in the post-war period, a nestor of cardiology in Bialystok, was an outstanding specialist in the field of electrocardiographic diagnostics. Once on the square there was a monument with a T-34 tank, of which only the concrete pedestal remains. The charming Bojary estate is in the immediate vicinity.
