The park was created around 1930, occupying about 27 hectares of area. The park was built in the area of a former oak-hornbeam forest, the forest was of a walking nature, the main entrance to the forest was from the intersection of Noworudzka, 11 Listopada, Strzegomska and Świdnicka Streets, this is remembered by the main stately gate from the 19th century. Part of the park from Bystrzycka Street is dated to around the 16th century related to the representative palace and park complex of the Czettritz family from around the 16th century.
