The Baciului Keys make up a protected area of national interest that corresponds to the IV category IUCN (mixed type nature reserve), located in Cluj county, on the administrative territory of the city of Cluj Napoca. [2]
The protected natural area, with an area of 3 ha, is located in the north of the Hoia Forest and is crossed by the Valea Lungă and Valea Popești streams. The nature reserve represents an area of keys excavated in Eocene limestone, of particular geological importance (rocks), paleontological (fossil deposits and botany (mixed forests, grasses, rock vegetation).
