The place where the park is located was named Kronoberget from the beginning, and it was also the name of the park until 1962. The work of organizing a park began in 1883 with the laying of food soil a little here and there. In 1891, work began in the southwestern part, the work continued until 1912, the last area on Polhemsgatan. Prior to the 1920s, the summit of Kronoberget itself teaches one of Stockholm's most beautiful viewpoints over Riddarfjärden. During the years 1933-1935, the area closest to Kungsholmen's fire station was arranged. The park is about 250 × 220 meters or about 5.5 hectares.
