The largest park in central Västerås
In the park erected the city's first sculpture, a bust of Gustav Vasa, modeled in 1863 by Carl Gustaf Qvarnström. The Vasa Park has the character of an English park, with large park trees, a rolling lawn and flower plants. In the park there is a pond that receives storm water from the city's central parts. There are also remnants of the Dominican monastery's demolished walls in connection with the Reformation.
