The park is interesting in composition. A small pond overlooking the creek greets you as soon as you enter the Sturenkatu Gate. The pond is decorated with a beautiful and exotic tree, the Juglans ailantifolia. Rock paths lead to variable distances. After the garden gallery, rare plants grow in the garden. The other two entrances to the park are located in Vesilinnankatu in the north and just off the main gate of Linnanmäki Theme Park in the south.
Although some plants have faded over the years, the garden is still a hot spot for herbs. There are a number of otherwise delicate or rare plants found in other parks in Helsinki. The garden is a good example of how to create a charming multi-species garden on almost bare cliffs. A large part of the woody plants in the area has been cultivated for exhibitions and is still growing in the region.
