The city's most magnificent park
Andersson's main idea was to reinforce Margretegärde's rectangular shape. Minor changes in the park have come about over the years, but Andersson's main idea remains. Diagonal footpaths run diagonally across the southern and northern parts of the yard. The center is marked with a large round fountain with plantings and parkas. In the northern part there are two playgrounds surrounded by protective bush cakes.
In 1949, a statue, "Girl with braid", was placed in the middle of the fountain. In 1974 a new music pavilion was built.
