Various events are organized here during the year
It was initially just a nature area with a simple dance track and a theater scene on the outskirts of the city. The park, like the city, has grown over time. Buildings such as the dance track were added in 1926 as well as the theater that existed between 1935-2016, plantings and enclosures have also been added and the park is now relatively central in the city. In 1963, the park was handed over to the municipality and now the park and its buildings are leased by Alingsåsparken AB.
