There are soccer fields and ponds that are sailed on in the summer and skated on in the winter. Many tree species have been planted, which in turn attract many different animals.
On the south side of the park is a work of art by Marius van Beek entitled Gate of the Sun. It consists of three blocks of granite, stacked in the shape of a gate. On the sides of the gate are reliefs from the mythological story of Prometheus. At some distance from this are granite discs, the visor. There is a block of red granite between the gate and the visor. On March 21 and September 21, the sun shines upon rising through the gate to the sight. On June 21, when the highest sun position is reached, the sun shines on the red granite.
