The park is for the most part planted with an age-old beech forest. The hilly nature is striking. Furthermore it contains a large diversity of trees and plants, it has a large number of ponds, fountains and two waterfalls.
In the park is the monument to Hendrik Lorentz, made by Oswald Wenckebach and unveiled on 9 September 1931 by Princess Juliana. The initiator of the purchase of the park is commemorated with the so-called Tellegenbank, designed by Arnhem sculptor Gijs Jacobs van den Hof and unveiled on February 23, 1928.
