There is a war memorial in this park
The monument was inaugurated on August 31, 1945 (birthday of Queen Wilhelmina). On September 20, 1945, it was decided to design the surroundings of the monument as a park. On May 4, 1948 (National Remembrance Day) a memorial stone was unveiled with the names of all 46 killed residents.
The park was renewed in 1959 and expanded on the south side. The park was also reconstructed in 2007.
