Instead of Volksgarten, Brodhäuslau was originally. Extending approximately 1.2 kilometers from the top of Bergelstein, it flowed through Aubach and had extensive gravel banks on the banks of Salzach. Brodhäusl, who once gave the region its name, is the property of Münchhausen. It was located approximately north of Steinlechner Inn today. In 1873, the Salzach organization continued to exist in the south, making Proudhäslö a fairly new development area. Between 1891 and 1898, the site was redesigned in honor of Emperor Franz Joseph, and on the occasion of the return of 50 from the day the Emperor joined, the new park was given to residents under the former name of Franz Joseph Park.
Tsar Franz Joseph Park
The pool there already opened in early summer 1892 - initially under the name "Franz Josef-Bad" - and a children's playground the following fall. As a result, many major festivals have been held here, including the Dult Festival. Once there was a small pool, on the pool you can rent rowing boats or small sailing to tour the pool.
Volksgarten
Since the end of the monarchy, the park has been out of premise from royal models and is also called Volksgarten. In some historical plans for the interwar period, the name "Volksgarten" can be found, and in other cases the name "Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Park", which can still be found on city maps today. To date, however, the whole park is called "Volksgarten" by the residents. The name "Volksgarten" first appeared on the city's official cadastral map from 1894, where the first name "Brothäuslau" was fixed to "Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Park" in about 1900 and a few years after World War I to "Volksgarten" and . The name is derived from "Volksbad", which is the name of a local spa that was already popular on property. On September 2, 1945, the first international post-war international match, Salzburg against Upper Austria, was held at the ASKÖ sports stadium in Salzburg Volksgarten. On April 21, 1946, the Salzburg Park was reopened to its old location in Volksgarten. On June 19, 1949, the Salzburg Victims of War Society organized a massive mausoleum with a Puch motorcycle as a major prize for war victims in Volksgarten in front of more than 10,000 people.
