It is indispensable not only as a center for education and research at the Institute of Botany at the University of Innsbruck, but also a place for education and relaxation for children, youth and adults. Over 7,000 plant species from the most diverse habitats on Earth are cultivated here.
In the area of about two hectares, you can enjoy mountain plants in the Alps, expand your knowledge of medicinal, poisonous and aromatic plants or go for a walk in the park. You can experience plants with all your senses in fragrance and garden touch. In exhibition houses, you can learn more about tropical rainforests and arid subtropical regions.
