The park was created by Hendrik Christiaan van der Houven van Oordt
The park and villa plots were designed by landscape architect H.H. Hogeweg set up the same, to strengthen the close bond. The park was laid out in the then popular landscape style with large meandering pond sections, winding paths, interspersed with lawns and tree groups. This layout was repeated in the originally large villa gardens and thus seamlessly connected to the park.
