It is one of 20 national parks in the Republic of Tunisia, which took place in 2010 and surveyed 16249 hectares. It covers part of the area of four municipalities of the provinces of Kasserine and Sidi Bouzid, namely Sabiba, Sibetla, Jalma and Sabla.
