  Unlike some of the Boroughs traditional parks Woodheys Park was opened in the early 1970s. The site was formerly used as farmland and is still known to some as 'Pinky Park' because pigs from a field across the brook frequently strayed into the park.

  * 18 hole pitch and putt course : The course offers a fun round of golf for the beginner as well as the more confident player. It is excellent for honing your short game! To use the Pitch and Putt Course tickets must be purchased from the pavilion. The prices range from: Adult - £5.00 Child - £3.00 Senior Citizens - £3.00 Schools - £1.00 The course is open everyday 10:30am - 6:30pm (last tee Spring/Summer time) later as the nights draw out. The course is closed during winter months.
