Prince's Park offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy.
The park was donated to the city in Victorian times by the late George Thomas and contains a unique remnant of the original course of the River Irwell which is now an important habitat for a range of local wildlife.
The park plays host to the annual Irlam and Cadishead Community Festival held on each August bank holiday and the annual bonfire display including stunning firework displays and children's fairground rides.
An amphitheatre which consists of a natural bowl was installed in 2011 and will enable additional community events to take place.
