Handsworth Park landscaped grass slopes, with flower beds, mature trees, shrubs, and plenty of wildlife.
Handsworth Leisure Centre is based in the park. There is also a boating lake, with rowing boats available to hire.
The park has hosted a variety of both Council and community organised events - from Vaisakhi with its huge processions to the Marcus Garvey Festival with music and entertainment.
Handsworth Park was founded in 1888 by the Handsworth Local Sanitary Board. At that time it was called Victoria Park.
The park was significantly restored between 2004 and 2006.
