Trees and bedding plants that frame the pathway as it guides its visitors past a striking monument, installed to remember those who fought in and lost their lives during World War One and World War Two.
Every year crowds of people gather on the site for Remembrance Day, with more than 1100 people attending the service in 2017, with over 200 children presenting crosses. The site is a mixture of aesthetic, ecological and historical importance that unites the community.
