The Flora Ensemble of Peter-Joseph Lenné of 1864 and the Botanical Garden of 1914 have been united since 1920 and now represent a unique combination of a garden monument and a botanical garden with plant showhouses.
Recreation for more than one million visitors annually, in conjunction with the education in gardening and culture, botany, the conservation of biological resources and the promotion of science are the objectives.
